Information We Collect
When you sign in, we collect your email address and password to authenticate your identity. Your name and employee ID are retrieved from the company's employee management system.
When you clock in or clock out, the App collects your precise GPS location (latitude and longitude). Location is collected only at the moment of clock-in or clock-out — the App does not continuously track your location.
We record the time and location of each clock-in and clock-out event.
The App stores your authentication token and login credentials locally on your device to maintain your session. This data is stored in the app's private storage and is not accessible to other applications. All locally stored data is deleted when you sign out.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Authenticating your identity and managing your session
- Recording attendance with location verification
- Displaying your attendance status within the App
Data Sharing
The App uses Google Play Services for location acquisition. No personal or location data is shared with Google through this usage.
Data Security
All data transmitted between the App and our server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Authentication tokens are stored in the app's private storage area on your device, which is sandboxed by the Android operating system.
Data Retention
- Local data: Retained on device until you sign out, at which point all stored tokens, credentials, and session data are deleted.
- Server data: Attendance records are retained in accordance with your employer's data retention policies and applicable labor laws.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your attendance records through your employer
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting your company administrator or Scient Labs directly
- Sign out at any time to delete all locally stored data
Children's Privacy
The App is designed for workplace use and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
