About Your Kinnavi Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your personal data from the Kinnavi system. For the full privacy terms, see our Privacy Policy.
Immediate Local Data Deletion
You can immediately remove all Kinnavi data from your device — authentication tokens, stored credentials, and session state — at any time without contacting anyone:
- Open the Kinnavi app and tap 「サインアウト」 (Sign Out)
- Uninstall the Kinnavi app from your device
- Go to device Settings → Apps → Kinnavi → Storage → Clear data
These actions remove all locally stored data from your device. Data stored on the Kinnavi server is not affected by these actions and must be requested separately (see below).
Server-Side Data Deletion Request
To request deletion of your personal data from the Kinnavi server, send an email with the following details:
• Your full name
• Your employer's company name
• Your employee ID (if known)
• Reason for deletion (optional)
The request must be sent from the email address registered with your 勤ナビ(Kinnavi account) so we can verify your identity.
Deletion Process & Timeline
- Acknowledgement (within 7 business days): We confirm receipt of your request by email.
- Employer authorization: Because your data is controlled by your employer, we forward the request to your employer's designated administrator for authorization. This ensures lawful deletion that respects both your rights and your employer's record-keeping obligations.
- Deletion (within 30 days of authorization): Once authorized, we permanently delete the eligible data from our production systems. Backups containing the data are purged on the next backup rotation cycle.
- Confirmation: We email you when deletion is complete.
What Gets Deleted & What Is Retained
✓ Deleted
- User account and authentication credentials
- Personal identification (name, email, phone number)
- Employee ID linkage to personal identity
- Location coordinates from clock-in/out events
- Device tokens and session data
✕ Retained (Anonymized)
- Aggregated attendance records required by Japanese labor law (typically 3–7 years, then deleted)
- Audit logs (security / fraud prevention)
- Anonymized statistical data with no personally identifiable information
Retained data is either anonymized so it cannot be linked to you, or held strictly for the period required by Japanese labor law before final deletion. Once statutory retention periods expire, this data is also permanently deleted.
Alternative: Contact Your Employer Directly
Because your employer is the data controller for your 勤ナビ(Kinnavi) account, you may also direct deletion requests to your company's HR or IT department. They can instruct Scient Labs to delete your data through our internal B2B administration channels, which is often the fastest path.
Escalation & Regulatory Rights
If you are not satisfied with how your deletion request is handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission (PPC).
